Tommy Cono: The Voice of Tribute

Tommy Cono is a standout talent in the entertainment industry, recognized for his powerful voice and captivating stage presence. Known as “The Voice of Tribute,” Tommy has carved out a unique niche by celebrating the iconic sounds of the ’50s, ’60s, and beyond. At just 27 years old, this New Jersey native brings fresh energy and authenticity to the classic hits that have defined generations. Tommy’s entertainment journey began early in life as Shorty The Clown with the Cole Bros. Circus Of The Stars. His passion for performing was influenced by his family’s deep roots in show business, from his great-grandmother, who was a Rockette, to his uncle, who was a traveling clown. This rich heritage inspired Tommy to pay tribute to the great artists who shaped his love for music.

Since launching his tribute career in 2018, Tommy has become known for his authentic renditions of songs by legends like Frankie Valli, Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin, and The Bee Gees. He has graced the stages of prestigious venues such as Harrah’s in Atlantic City and the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia and performed alongside notable acts, including The Stylistics, The Duprees, The Skyliners, and many more.

A significant milestone in Tommy’s career was recording two songs with Bobby Rydell right before Rydell’s passing. Tommy was the last person to record with Rydell, with plans to complete a full album together, making this collaboration especially poignant. Following this, Tommy had the opportunity to record two additional songs with Frankie Avalon, marking Avalon’s first studio session in 45 years. The strong friendship between Rydell and Avalon added a special dimension to these projects. These collaborations were facilitated by Joey M, who is Tommy’s manager and a close friend to both Rydell and Avalon. Joey M’s connections with these legendary artists were crucial in bringing these meaningful recordings to fruition, underscoring Tommy’s role in celebrating and bridging the classic music of these icons with contemporary audiences.

In addition to his musical achievements, Tommy is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Bobby Rydell. As a spokesperson for the Bobby Rydell Foundation, he actively works to honor Rydell’s contributions to music. Tommy has also joined forces with The Golden Boys to pay tribute to Rydell, performing in shows that celebrate the timeless music of the era and showcase Tommy’s deep connection to these iconic sounds. Furthermore, Tommy is a returning act and host for the Wildwoods Oldies Weekend in Wildwood, NJ, continuing his tradition of celebrating classic music with fans.
