Announcing new additions to The Malt Shop Memories Cruise 2016
When we first announced the 2016 Malt Shop Memories Cruise, we were over the moon about the superstars who will be performing during the Malt Shop Cruise: Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Dionne Warwick, Ronnie Spector, The Lettermen, The Brooklyn Bridge, The Miracles, The Skyliners, Freddy Cannon, Jay Siegel's Tokens, Girls Night Out (Shirley Alston Reeves, original lead singer of The Shirelles, together with The Chiffons and The Crystals) and Bill Haley Jr. and the Comets. But we knew we wanted to give our guests more.
We've just added 10 incredible performers to the 2016 Malt Shop Memories Cruise and they've all promised to bring along every single one of their hits and a whole lot of fun too.
Dee Dee Sharp, the Orlons, the Tymes and Soul Survivors will be joining the voyage for a very special tribute to Philadelphia and the amazing music that emerged from the city during the rock 'n roll era. The four iconic groups will perform in one spectacular show, where crowds will be on their feet for Dee Dee's signature Top 10 smash hits "Mashed Potato Time," "Gravy (For My Mashed Potatoes," and "Ride!." The Orlons will sway along to their hits "The Wah Watusi", "South Street" and "Don't Hang Up." The Tymes will make sure that everything is "Wonderful! Wonderful!" before delivering their #1 hit "So Much In Love" and The Soul Survivors will rock their way down the "Expressway to Your Heart."
Our Malt Shop Memories Cruises transport guests back in time, and what better way to capture the '50s and '60s than to make sure we have plenty of doo-wop groups to bring the music of city street corners to life. The Capris will bring their harmonies all the way from Queens to the Caribbean, joined by The Acchords and SounTrac.
You told us you loved them and we listened! Ricky Nelson Remembered (starring Matthew and Gunnar Nelson), The Happenings and Al 'Lil Fats' Jackson will now all be back on our 2016 cruise by popular demand. Ricky Nelson Remembered will be on the main stage for everyone to enjoy the twins and hear the amazing tribute to their dad. The Happenings return to serenade audiences with "I Got Rhythm" and "See You In September" and Al 'Lil Fats' Jackson will spend the week pounding the keyboards all around the ship with the spirit of Fats Domino.
We've nearly doubled the number of performers on this year's Malt Shop Memories Cruise. So join us for double the music, double the memories and double the fun!
Check out why people love coming back to the Malt Shop Memories!
