A Message from Executive Producer Alan Rubens
As we all know, the Malt Shop era is a special time between the birth of rock ‘n’ roll and the British Invasion, filled with great songs and great artists. We've been spending the summer hard at work preparing the star-studded onboard programming for this year's cruise. What we love about this year's talented lineup, is how well they understand what we have established with the Malt Shop Cruise- a community that grew up together in that wonderful era and wants to honor and re-visit those times, feel young again and hang out with 2,000 like-minded friends.
With Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons special appearance on 11/3, to Dionne Warwick, Ronnie Spector, The Lettermen, The Brooklyn Bridge, The Skyliners, The Miracles, Girls Night Out featuring Shirley Alston Reeves, The Crystals & The Chiffons, Freddy Cannon, The Happenings, Jay Siegel’s Tokens, The Tymes, The Orlons, Dee Dee Sharp, The Soul Survivors, The Capris, Bill Haley Jr. & his Comets, Ricky Nelson Remembered starring Matthew & Gunnar Nelson, Al “Lil Fats” Jackson, The Acchords, SounTrac, and more fan favorites, I am confident that the Malt Shop Memories Cruise 2016 will continue the tradition of keeping this unbelievable music alive.
This fantastic music era, the late ‘50s and early ‘60s is so very special. This music was inspired with a new kind of freedom and a desire by teenagers to make it their own, not their parents’ -- written by teenagers, for teenagers; it became a soundtrack for the rest of their lives.
We are very excited to offer this soundtrack to you each and every year on the Malt Shop Memories Cruise. Our seventh sailing is shaping up to be one the best ones yet, filled with a phenomenal lineup, past fan favorites including the ever-popular Elvis Tribute Artists, and a schedule of exciting onboard events. Reliving the memories of young love and innocent fun is easy with our sock hop, prom night and more than 25 celebrity-hosted events, as well as all of the other fun we have planned.
We are sold out for 2016, but if you call now there is always a chance that we will be releasing some cabins due to cancellations and other last minute changes to the inventory.
